Missing in action: Trump's bone spurs. Bone spurs don't just vanish.

Trump used his father's wealth to buy his way out of being drafted by claiming bone spurs.

He dodged the draft, not because he was opposed to war but because he didn't want to be drafted into war.

He used his wealth and privilege to dodge the draft.

He calls those who paid the ultimate price, with their lives, losers.

If Trump is going to call war dead losers, then show us your bone spurs, Mr President.

Or show us the medical records that prove you had them surgically removed.

Show us these bone spurs that are missing in action.

His medical records could lay this issue to rest immediately, but we know there never was a bone spur issue or Trump would've provided the proof with medical records showing he had them removed.

He either has the records of removal or he could show that he still has bone spurs. He won't do anything to back up his claim.

Yet, he has the gall to call war dead losers.

My reply isn't meant to jump on you for your reply. I just want to elaborate on my OP.

I actually think he did have bone spurs because the draft board’s doctors would have required xrays for proof. I tested high blood pressure at my doctor, getting ready for my physical. Right at the line for exclusion. One millimeter lower and I was going to be drafted. And the draft board doctors used many tricks to get my blood pressure lower. They had me lie down For thirty minutes in a quiet dark room, for instance, before a retest. Then I had to return for a second day, same quiet room. Trump couldn’t fake xrays.

When I tried joining the military several years ago I got permanently disqualified instead just for failing the hearing test. So many other guys got booted out of MEPS too solely for stuff like tattoos or having prior surgery scars.

I think Something like 10 of my class of a thousand Got drafted. Ivy League. Literally just 10. It was horribly unfair, of course. Our intelligence system was awesome. Bone problems? Transfer physical to Spokane, soft on bone issues there. I was advised to transfer my physical to Salt Lake City, soft on blood pressure there. Reserve? Forget it. Your dad had to be a congressman for that. I was told that before I learned George W and Lloyd Bentson’s boys got in the guard. If bribes worked I think I would have heard.

But it could have bought a spot in the Public Health Service too. But medical exemption? Different cities were soft on different conditions, we knew that. I remember that Spokane was soft on bone problems, Salt Lake City was soft on blood pressure. There was a list of where to transfer physicals for different conditions. My college, Ivy League, was world class at knowing all the angles. It was so incredibly unfair. But I never heard a hint of corrupt examining doctors. Back then they heavily tilted right wing, think Ted Cruz ideology, and seemed really driven to get me killed.

I did test 140 over 90, fair and square, at my doctor, before my physical. The exact minimum for rejection. But I would have found a way out no matter what, because of knowledge my privileged classmates shared. Because I hired a lawyer to make sure I didn’t miss a way out. It was a horrible system and I would have acted dishonorably if I needed to. People like Robert Mueller, who had surgery to overcome his exemption, are heroes. Not me.

So imagine how many men did have bone spurs that still served? Flat feet was all they looked for. Trump would send an X-ray of someone else feet in a heartbeat.
I passed my physical with flying colors.

to dummy up this diagnosis for Trump in order to get him a favorable draft classification and keep him out of Vietnam. Or worse: simply gave the guy a break on his rent. Everybody knows this, even the hard core Trumpies know it.

Hell, a person can respect a draft resister who acted on principled opposition to the war. One can even tip a bit of a cap to those who jimmied up some safe military service (see Texas Air National Guard) through connections. But Trump and his father's action was simple cowardice and self-regard: neither could conceive of putting one's life in danger for any purpose whatsoever, much less something so abstract and other-directed as national military service. This was not draft resistance; it was the classic definition of draft dodging. The whole family are true pieces of shit.

I remember when Bill Clinton's draft evasion (and his was not that admirable, I have to say) came to light, there were so many questions and statements about "the next guy in line," the "guy who had to take his spot" in the infantry unit, or whatever. We hear none of this about Trump, even from his so-called patriotic bikers, waving their ridiculous RVN flags and generally ignoring his cowardice. So, really, what about the next guy in line?

My anti war doctor wrote a letter for me too. He said my genuinely just high enough blood pressure was likely due to soon to be fatal kidney disease, and my blood test was consistent, thanks to sophisticated Dr House like knowledge of a peculiar non detectable supplement consistent with that. But the examining doctor was a very cynical man. He read the letter, looked at me, and said, kid, this isn’t going to work for you. I had to use my own extensive research reading papers at the medical school library to know non detectable ways to keep my blood pressure at its true just barely high enough level despite the tricks I knew they would use against me to get it as low as possible. The examining doctors literally laughed at our doctor letters.
