The View from the Tenderloin
I'm wondering if people realize how many new skills they've gained since being confined, more or less. I have learned two new skills, gardening and baking. The first is good for my sanity and soul, the second is fun but not helpful in the fight against an expanding waist line. Learning to make pastry dough was a bit of a trick, but I got it. I've been making pastries with home made apple butter, and they are so good.
That was the fun part of todays rant. Trump being Trump, and reports surfacing of the vile things he has said about the military, make things a bit easier for Joe. What I'd like to see for the rest of the campaign is for Trump to keep stepping in big piles of his own shit, and for Joe to stay safe from the plague.
I don't want us to lose focus on the plague. The election is important, but the plague is death and despair. I'm dealing with the after effects, and it's been very painful. People need to understand that surviving the initial infection is just the beginning, that message isn't getting across.

(1,154 posts)Both board games and cards were what we did as kids at home. It's deja vu all over again. I spend a lot of time on the net, and I have two big screen tv's going. WIFI is only ten bucks a month, and buddy, I get my moneys worth!

(1,154 posts)Thanks you sir, I appreciate that. Sometimes I get pressured to write more, to which I always respond by saying I can only do one when I have something to say. Even if I say it badly, it wants to come out. Stay safe..

I'm leaving now to go down to get tested on the Embarcadero, right next to Red's Java House.

(1,154 posts)I noticed the other day that there is a new test site on fourth street near Mission. Very close to where I live. I haven't gotten tested, though I'm thinking about it. As you know, I caught the plague last January, and I've read conflicting stuff about immunity. My lungs and especially my kidneys have been giving me a lot of pain, and I sure a/f don't want to get it again.
