Gen. Kelly

Gen. Kelly did some not so great things when he was serving in the Trump administration. He seemed to do a lot of enabling.

But this....Don't you think that if this story in The Atlantic Magazine was fake, that by now, 2:30 pm on the east coast, Gen. Kelly would have put out a statement?

The silence says a lot.

he is a military man, a lifelong military man who respects the office even if he doesn't respect the person in it. He is real old school, it will take a lot for him to come out in public and say anything.

The fact that he isn't denying it indicates that it probably happened. Still, I think he needs to go on the record about this story.

We all know Trump celebrates winners and loathes losers. He demonstrated that in The Apprentice, and he demonstrated it in comments he made about John McCain.

I don’t see how Trump can effectively deny this story.

I agree that his failure to verbally confirm this information goes to his military training. He's not going to officially call out the "Commander in Chief" as a liar.

I'm not real fond of the idea of "rehabilitating" all these honorable men that served this piece of filth. And I'm not real convinced that Kelly, at base level, wasn't on board with a lot of what happened during that period.

So -- disrespect for the fallen -- a bridge too far ...
Maybe -- but in Kelly's case -- not holding my breath.

snip-"Former White House chief of staff and retired Marine Gen. John Kelly has joined the board of directors for Caliburn International, the parent company of Comprehensive Health Services, which operates shelters for unaccompanied migrant children.

One of the shelters the company operates is Homestead, a temporary influx facility in Florida that houses unaccompanied migrant children.

"General Kelly is a strong strategic addition to our team," said James Van Dusen, the CEO of Caliburn International, in a statement.

he has a duty to his country and to his son to come forward.

I got into it with my cousin's loony Trumper wife and the whine coming from them is the anonymous sources can't be believed and it was all made up because others (including Bolton) say they never heard Trump say this.

As a rule I just ignore her political Facebook posts and she's been putting out some weird shit about Covid lately. But yesterday I posted the VoteVets ad with the Gold Star parents and she came back with "This isn't true" and I could no longer control myself. It was kind of fun as other cousins piled on with me, including one who is a graduate of the Air Force Academy and spent more than 20 years in the service. Of course, none of us were successful and she's one of those people who has to have the last word so after her last inane comment we all just agreed to drop it.

Now she's making her own posts about what a victiim Donny is in all this and alledging the both the publisher of The Atlantic and the reporter are big contributors to Biden. No one is responding and I hope it's making her crazy.
