If Trump isn’t caught saying something grossly inappropriate on camera, Trumpists won’t believe it.

If Trump is caught on camera saying something grossly inappropriate, Trumpists will say “Well, we all know Trump is a loudmouth .... But .... Biden wants to burn American cities down!”

Rinse and repeat.

2. Then let him deny it

Ask him again and again. Apparently General Kelly was present for one of Trump's graceless comments. Why doesn't Trump just bring one of "his" generals out to deny the story?

If Kelly goes on the books backing this, it may (or may not) shift things, but broadly, I’d say anyone potentially bothered by Trump’s predilection for grossly idiotic statements has long since made their mind up about the man.

5. It may not matter to his brain dead cult followers but....

it will matter to those who held their nose and voted for him in 2016 and have a loved one who has served and it will matter even more if their loved one died in service.

He is already down in the polls and this will certainly not help. Every vote his loses with this is two for Biden.
