Talent + attitude.

Freddie...

"I won't be a rock star. I will be a legend.

When I'm dead, I want to be remembered as a musician of some worth and substance.

I always knew I was a star And now, the rest of the world seems to agree with me.

I think my melodies are superior to my lyrics."

😁

Roger Daltrey commented in Jim O’Donnell’s 2013 Queen Tribute book, Freddie was “the best virtuoso rock ‘n’ roll singer of all time. He could sing anything in any style. He could change his style from line to line and, God, that’s an art. And he was brilliant at it.

at 74, which is what he’d be today.

He would still be rockin it and flamboyant I am sure.

The QUEEN himself. He died 4 days before my beloved Grandpap did.

I remain a Queen fan to this day.

Which revived Queen and kept them on top until Freddie died on November 24th, 1991.

Their music is as much popular today as it was then. The Oscar and Golden Globe winning film BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY, saw to that.

When I hear the iconic music of Queen, one cannot escape the genius that is Brian May. The guitar sounds of all the Queen arrangements are from Brian. The most iconic riff is from "Bohemian Rhapsody ". His iconic guitar, the Red Special, was homemade with parts in his father's garage set to wood from an 18th Century fireplace. He still plays with that guitar since 1969.

Lucky you!

I never saw a live Queen concert but the ones on YouTube are very good.

Going to see Almost Queen in April in Michigan. I heard they are very good. I had tickets for last April but it was postponed twice due to Covid. Fingers crossed. I would love to see Queen someday, but I would have to cash out my retirement. (Eye roll)

I don’t have a dog but I have five Freddie shirts, three pop funko Freddie dolls, coffee mugs, wine glasses, magnets, biographies, stamps (just recently minted), hats, and car decal, most from friends and family who love to get me Freddie stuff for birthdays and holidays because they know me. Maybe I should start a museum?

I remember playing this one as loud as my stereo would go. I wasn't exactly a quiet rebellious teen.
