AM Joy...

Jonathan Capehart, Tiffany Cross, and Zirlinda Maxwell have been taking turns at the weekend helm though AFAIK no one has been selected for the 10-12 time slot yet. Huge shoes to fill!

Do you have any preferences? Who would you like to see given a shot at this?

I love her voice and her personality. I think she does an A+ job. I hope they give it to her.

She wrote an entire chapter about him in her book and dissed him numerous times on MSNBC. Once it was clear that Joe would be our nominee, she started to walk back her criticisms quite a bit, essentially saying it was to make him a better candidate, which I find rather condescending. Unfortunately, her early denunciations of him stuck with me and whenever I see her on TV, I have an involuntary negative reaction. Its a shame, as I do find her intelligent and personable, but so far, that feeling has not left me.

Some day I may be able to watch her without remembering. I know Joe would be far more forgiving than I am, but for now, I still haven't gotten past it.

She is supporting the Biden/Harris ticket 100%. I think that is what matters.

I can understand your feelings, I felt that way towards Kamala Harris after her debate attack on Joe Biden. But Joe himself said that grudges aren't productive.

It took quite some time to get past Kamala Harris's attempted take down of Joe in a debate and eventually she became my number one pick for his VP. I haven't gotten there yet with Zerlina. With her, it wasn't a one time misstep, she went after him often and I felt that she really didn't know the man. Her support of him now feels rather reluctant. I suppose if I saw her support become genuine and enthusiastic, I might be able forgive and forget.

I don't see Joe Biden as just a "better than" candidate. I honestly see him as a possible transformative president, perhaps our FDR, and I really appreciate the supporters who see that as well. To me, Joe is more than the guy who can beat Donald Trump, he has the potential to be an incredible leader both at home and abroad.

back to CNBC. He had his own weekend show in the afternoon for a short time, as did Yasmin (with difficult last name). Neither of them did too well. Then Gura went to early mornings for a bit. Now Yasmin has been doing the First Look program on weekdays.

I don't watch MSNBC weekend mornings anymore, but I might consider it if Capehart gets Joy's old time slot.

I turned on the show while she was speaking and she was off and running. She already looks like she's been doing this for a while.
