Kenosha mass shooter's lawyer says Facebook condemned Richard Jewell in 1996

Lin Wood @LLinWood

On July 27. 1996, bomb exploded in Centennial Olympic Park in Atlanta, killing 1 & injuring 110.

Mark Zuckerberg & Facebook declared Richard Jewell to be a “mass murderer.”

Efforts to raise money for Jewell’s defense & family were banned on social media.

Richard was innocent.

My sympathies are not with Richard Jewell. And certainly not with Kyle, his parents must be works of art also

It is well-known he was railroaded by the media and the FBI, an interesting harbinger for what social media would someday become.

Odd statement there.

The Richard Jewell being referenced in the tweet saved lives during the 1996 Olympic Park bombing. He was then vilified in the media as a suspect. It was awful. They ruined his life after he saved many.

Not the same person as the white supremacist.

The hero Jewell died back in 2007.

I was so confused by your initial statement. Now it makes sense. I think you’re thinking of Richard Spencer?

I googled, and the only thing I could find was that he had a Georgia state flag on his license plate, and that the media featured it prominently while they were tearing his life down.

He saved a lot of lives. He was wrongfully persecuted to an insane degree. He died young.

But a flag is your final word on him?

Could not care less about that kind of short-sighted purity.

Having a Confederate flag in 1996 is not the same as having one in 2020. We know better now.

Your edgelord comments about him are laughable.

Your comparing Jewell and Rittenhouse is also laughable, as well as nonsensical.

when they didn't have the slightest shred of evidence that he was responsible for the bombing.

Given that Mr. Wood's client is an enthusiastic supporter of the police, I suspect he would have been on their side in this, and not Richard Jewell's.
