Based on what's happened recently, it appears there are at least some white militia sympathizers in some police departments. Consulting google, there might even be some white militia members who actually are also police officers. Regardless of politics, it seems obvious that those types need to be eradicated from within the ranks of any and all police departments. In fact, sympathizers, contacts, and members of white militias (current or former) should never be allowed to wear a uniform of any kind.
Hopefully the FBI is on it. They could, at a minimum, list all police departments with known white militia infiltration.

(13,783 posts)... circulating in the FBI from some years ago about the need to keep an eye on the infiltration of police departments by the far right. I had hoped we'd see more about that. Sorry, it's too old for me to find in My Posts and I can't remember the subject.
Does anyone else remember that or have direct info?

(9,000 posts)an ex FBI Special Agent Michael German who dealt with white supremacists. He was saying that police departments do not have access to white supremecist listed on the FBI database for that very reason. They do not trust that a supporter of nationalist in a police department would not warn that person that they were being investigated. So I guess yes, they are very familiar with the ties.
