and such for service in Vietnam. Vietnam was an experience that many didn't want to be a part of, a meat grinder.

Loads of my friends didn't want to go to Vietnam, or sought service in the Air Force or Navy vs. ground branches of the military (safer).
I was profoundly hard of hearing, so I was 4F. Some of my friends weren't so lucky, and a few of them came back and were different. Sadly different.

For every one of them that came back, we (families and friends) were all very grateful for the powers that be that allowed their safe return. One of the biggest challenges on their return to society back then was reintegrating them back into society. Unfortunately, some did not reintegrate into society, due to suffering grave injuries (physical and/or mentally).

These men and women (who were just starting to serve in our forces back then, in non combat roles) were brave beyond words, despite society rebelling against the war in Vietnam, and I think they (and all others who serve), wrote the words that define the word 'BRAVE'.

among the military (former and Ex). I suspect that this is propaganda by the republicans (or those that profess to be republican, by those few still left in the republican party).

mental health issues, TBI, brain studies was quite less along the way in the Vietnam War Era than it is now.
The study and understanding must continue to evolve even more to bring relief to those who need it.

9. Had Robert Kennedy not been assassinated, Democrats would have won in '68 on an anti-war platform

The Anti-Vietnam War movement had been led by Eugene McCarthy, and, when RFK saw his momentum changed to an anti-war stance and entered the race.

It's sort of odd to see Democrats being so pro-war about Bush-Cheney's Iraq and Afghanistan wars and so supportive of the Military Industrial Complex in general, but the party has always been schizophrenic about the US globalist program.

We got our bombshell. The Democrats needs to do commercials and keep on talking about how the GOP is calling all these patriots losers and suckers. My fear is that Trump will unleash a shiny object next week and everyone will chase it around and people will forget about it. Remember, Fox News loves to show the military and flags 24/7 and how they are the real patriots. Now the leader of their cult says these people are losers, we need to ride this until Election Day and not relent. This is big and juicy.

Trump Boasted of Avoiding STDs While Dating: Vaginas Are 'Landmines ... It Is My Personal Vietnam'
Donald Trump likens avoiding contracting STDs during his single years to Vietnam in Howard Stern interview

By Ale Russian Updated October 28, 2016 03:30 PM

In an unearthed interview from 1997, Donald Trump claimed he was a “brave soldier” for avoiding STDs during his single years in the late ’90s.

“It’s amazing, I can’t even believe it. I’ve been so lucky in terms of that whole world, it is a dangerous world out there. It’s like Vietnam, sort of. It is my personal Vietnam. I feel like a great and very brave solider,” Trump said in the interview when Howard Stern asked how he handled making sure he wasn’t contracting STDs from the women he was sleeping with.

The business-mogul-turned-politician elaborated on the fact in the interview, calling women’s vaginas “potential landmines” and saying “there’s some real danger there.”
