Story coming out soon that Trump is a petty thief also ?

NEW: On WWI commemoration trip, Trump fancied several pieces art at US ambassador’s historic residence in Paris, where he was staying—and on a whim had a portrait, bust and figurines loaded onto AF1, sources tell @nwadhams and me. Figurines now on mantel in Oval. Story out soon.

Anyone know what this is all about ?

...The president’s planned visit to the Belleau Wood cemetery was canceled when rainy weather grounded the presidential helicopter, according to a redacted email the White House released to rebut the Atlantic story. The U.S. Secret Service ruled out a motorcade for the 56-mile drive, according to two people familiar with the matter.

That left Trump with about six hours of free time in the ambassador’s residence.

The next day, Trump pointed out a Benjamin Franklin bust, a Franklin portrait and a set of figurines of Greek mythical characters, and insisted the pieces come back with him to Washington.
The People’s House

McCourt, the ambassador, was startled, but didn’t object, according to people briefed on the incident. Trump later quipped that the envoy would get the art back “in six years,” when his potential second term in office would be winding down...

The best part, the silver figurines were made by a 20th century artist, trying to pass them off as 16th/17th century pieces. Not very good ones according to the article.

Objets D’Art were the property of the US Government; the American taxpayer. Since he serves as head of the government all he had to do was ask to borrow them for the length of his tenure in office. Why did he choose to act like a cheap thug and steal them instead?

Patriots' Robert Kraft: Vladimir Putin stole my Super Bowl ring
Patriots owner Robert Kraft came clean this week: Russian president Vladimir Putin DID steal Kraft's Super Bowl ring. In 2005, at the urging of the White House, Kraft said the ring had been a gift to Putin.

In Mother Russia, stealing Super Bowl rings is sign of a good president.

Back in 2005 Patriots owner Robert Kraft was in Russia when a funny thing happened: Russian president Vladimir Putin stole his $25,000 Super Bowl XXXIX ring. Actually for the past eight years, Kraft had let everyone believe he gave the ring to Putin as a gift, but the truth came out this week: Putin stole it -- or took it without asking if 'stole' is too strong of a word for you.

"I took out the ring and showed it to [Putin], and he put it on and he goes, 'I can kill someone with this ring,'" Kraft said at an event this week, via the New York Post. "I put my hand out and he put it in his pocket, and three KGB guys got around him and walked out."

Putin steals all kinds of things . Just Google "Putin stole my" and you'll see the variety of things he steals:

Here he steals an iPhone from none other than....

Russian President Vladimir Putin's top critic has accused him of stealing his smartphone ahead of next month's election.

Web-savvy lawyer and anti-corruption blogger Alexei Navalny has become Putin's most significant critic in years, publishing numerous investigations of alleged corruption among state officials and some of Russia's richest people. His activism has helped him launch a handful of well-attended protests, the last of which resulted in his arrest last month. It was after his 10-day detention, when police did not give back his confiscated phone, Navalny wrote on his blog on Friday.

"An iPhone 7, by the way," Navalny clarified, in a post headlined "Putin stole my phone ." The activist described his detention on the way to last month's protest and raged that to this day he has not even received formal paperwork detailing why he was detained in the first place. "On what basis did you take my phone? Return it."
