I've been asked to start up some more DU links to raise funds. Please indicate how you feel about this by answering the poll.

2. I have not contributed via DU, but I contribute to Joe AND down ballot democrats.

We should not let the presidential ticket choke off money to down ballot democrats. That has happened to us before, to disastrous effect.

4. I have been using Act Blue, but I don't mind changing. I have no idea what difference it would make.

10. Act Blue takes about 4% for themselves

3.95% to be exact (according to them, though this was a while ago), and that doesn't even touch on what the credit card companies take out for themselves. I don't know if that constitutes a "difference."

So, out of every $1 million raised through them, they retain $40,000. I've never been involved in the financing of an election campaign, but I've had candidates tell me that to them, if they need to raise $5 million for their campaign, losing out on $200,000 would hurt greatly. I ALWAYS send checks after a bad experience with Act Blue, though I understand that many have had no problem with them.

They are a PAC. Their income is from tips. I always tip them.

I think you might be able to glean some helpful information from it. He's really done a lot of work that's infinitely helpful. All he's asking for is a donation. Either way you should check it out.
