Police departments delay information. Is that to see what videos pop up before they give their

side of the story? It seems to me that they must have had the details from their officers and cams within hours. I could see holding onto a video in some cases to wait to see if the cops try and lie. That might not be a great idea if they know you had a smart phone on them. In that case, you'd want to get it out and spread as far as possible before they can try and stop it.

If the camera shows the guy holding a gun, it is released before the cops get back to the station.


If the camera shows the guy holding a cell phone, it gets out one week later.


If it shows him with nothing in either hand, it might get released at the trial, or it might not.
