Top Republican warns Trump that his war against the USPS could kill the GOP in November: ‘We’re screwed’
Published 1 min ago on September 6, 2020By Sarah K. Burris

Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) told President Donald Trump in a “private meeting” that the Republican Party could be “screwed” if he continues to fight a war with the U.S. Postal Service.

According to Axios reporter Alayna Treene, McCarthy told the site, “We could lose based on that."

According to Axios reporter Alayna Treene, McCarthy told the site, “We could lose based on that.”

He reportedly spent “hours” with Trump trying to walk through the facts and figures and why it was so crucial for the president to tone down the conspiracy theories, but it was clear the president either didn’t get it or didn’t care.

More at link. Wtaf is wrong with repukes? This asshat doesn't care about people not getting their meds or SS checks, or farmers receiving dead baby chicks.

All he cares about is "winning."

I have news for you, McCarthy: your party winning would be a huge loss for our country! And this time, voters know it!

but back in 2016, he did and said everything he could to lose the election, and came within stealing distance of the Electoral College.

Maybe he's trying the same stratagem this time around, too...

I believe Mitch McConnell told his people that if Trump didn't turn things around by Labor Day, Republican Senators up for re-election should distance themselves from the President.

It is a sinking ship, and the Republicans will jump when that cold water hits their crotch.

...just like they did in 2016, when Republican leaders publicly distanced themselves from Trump in the aftermath of the "pussy-grabber" tape, and then all came crawling back within two weeks.

They know that, like it or not, the Republican Party is now the Trump Party, and breaking from 45 will put many of them in deep-red districts at risk -- if not in November, certainly the next time a primary rolls around.

Every republican running should have his image paired with an image of Trump saying "I take no responsibility at all."

Have you been in a coma for the last three years? Remember 2018, after just two years of that idiot in power? That's why you're the House Minority Leader instead of the Speaker. The American people have had another two years of Trump's antics since then. He hasn't improved with the passage of time. You think you're going to nudge him off a temper tantrum when he's convinced himself of some screwy nonsense? Good luck, Kevin.

Faced with a solidly Democratic Congress, he'd simply bypass them, rule by decree and "executive order," and count on the packed, "unitary executive"-loving SCOTUS to grant him the right to do so.

There were bags of mail being dumped in an LA parking lot caught on video!

SS too, as well as disrespect for troops.

Drive it home Joe & Kamala!
