(112,118 posts)but I'm a little bit behind on reading my emails. Too many forms to fill out and too much paperwork to read. I'm surprised that I've held it together this long as far as clearing out the backlog after two weeks in the hospital.

(112,118 posts)I was fortunate to have Bob Bullock as the lieutenant governor while I was a state employee. There were a lot of changes to comptroller. Nearly all of them were Republicans, but while Ann Richards was governor, John Sharp was comptroller. While Sharp is a Democrat, he ran his office like he was a Republican. When Sharp ran for governor, I decided not to support any of the candidates on the ballot. That was the last time (more than two decades ago) I didn't support a Democratic candidate in a general election.
