Residents in 22 Northern California counties could lose power for up to 2 days, PG&E says

PG&E said they could be turning off power to parts of the Sierra Foothills and North Bay, impacting up to 172,000 customers in 22 counties.

Currently, PG&E expects power to start going out between 9 p.m. and midnight on Monday. PG&E expects power to come back on by end of day on Wednesday.

Officials said the length of time for the shutoff coincides with the length of the unsafe weather conditions. In a Monday press conference, officials said they don't expect weather to be clear until Wednesday.
