Ideas needed for a Local Democratic ( Town Council) campaign

We are not able to go Door to Door .. We are thinking of doing some witty yards signs .. that are different .. I parallel - we want to start a facebook campaign that will let people vote on the funniest signs.

Here are some floating in my head

Dont be a Goat - Vote.

Memory Test : Person, Woman ,Man, Poage , Sayre ( Our local candidates)

Can you suggest a few funny ones I can suggest?

What are the issues? Create signs for those.
And, you can do a lit drop door to door.

First, "goat" is commonly used to mean Greatest of All Time, plus goats are popular and cool.
Second one.. I'd try to be non-partisan. I'm not sure what your town council does, but potholes and street lights don't have politics

You could try mailing postcards to voters that succinctly point out why they should vote for either of those candidates.

Texting, postcard campaigns.

We Democrats in my little red FL county have had great success with getting people registered to vote by mail this way.

I've done hours of phone banking and only got a few people who even picked up.
What seems to work is a post card writing campaign, preferably hand written and sometimes even a friendly little drawing.
For our Assemblywoman, we had people's kids illustrate them - gets the idea of being involved early.

but it's still turning out to be good. Our area is mostly seniors, so that may be the difference.

when phone banking.

I was a Town Council member and Mayor of my town, but that was pre-covid.

I was able to walk door to door when I campaigned and if people were not at home (the majority of time) I left a flyer with a hand written personal message in doors. The personal touch in local elections really helps.

Our system is that the first round of calls don't leave messages but after that, we do. There's a system in place that is really quite efficient.

I'm impressed with the Florida Democratic Party this cycle.
