New Hampshire Gov. Sununu faces a GOP challenger and other things to watch in Tuesday's primary

WASHINGTON – Primary season is almost at a close but two more states are holding nominating contests on Tuesday.

Both New Hampshire and Rhode Island are holding state primaries. Delaware is holding its state primary on Sept. 15.

Here are key things to watch for Tuesday's primaries:

New Hampshire gubernatorial race

Republican Gov. Chris Sununu, the incumbent, is facing a long-shot primary challenger, Franklin City Councilor Karen Testerman.

Sununu was first elected in 2013, and was the first Republican elected after Democrats had held the seat since 2005. Testerman jumped into the race due to Sununu's response to COVID-19, saying that he has been too restrictive, according to WMUR.
