No real surprise only the extent.
Long Read from Salon
When asked if the missing receipts for Stepien and Miller seemed unusual, Brendan Fischer, director of the Federal Reform Program at the Campaign Legal Center (CLC), told Salon, "It doesn't surprise me at all. The Trump campaign has disguised millions of dollars in payments to personnel and vendors by routing the money through LLCs created or managed by senior Trump campaign officials."

(8,029 posts)they can't be left unfilled anymore.
There needs to be a timeline, whereas if the president does not make a critical appointment, it should fall to the Sgt. at Arms or ANYONE to make the appointment without confirmation.
We have seen all the holes in our system of government that trump and the republicans have exploited for nefarious reasons in the past, and it cripples our government and the safe exercise of our right to have good government.
Trump and the criminals in the republican party have shown us how many of our laws and norms can be crushed at will.
There also needs to be a fail-safe for instantly doing away with an attorney general who does the things barr has done by acting as personal attorney for the president.

(6,158 posts)No more appointments, just career employees that get to the top through hard work over time.
That's the only way to keep it out of the hands of a corrupt President.

(9,350 posts)There are so many things in the first article that Democrats should be able to make into campaign issues. There is the fact that Jason Miller is working for the Trump Campaign after his recent history. Jason Miller's employment could be its own campaign issue. Then there is the chance that Steven Bannon has been using the Trump Campaign to launder money. Then there is the wasteful spending. Trump's campaign, according to multiple articles, has gone through $800 million of $1.1 billion in just about 8 months. We (the American people) should not be surprised that the Trump Administration has been running massive deficits during its time running the government. The Democratic Party should make a campaign ad linking wasteful spending of the Trump campaign to the wasteful spending of the Trump Administration. How can you expect someone to balance the budget of a national government when he cannot even manage the budget of his campaign? There even more things that can be made into campaign issues from the first article.
