The media's problem continued to use out of context polling to drive a narrative.

I've said this for years. I remember even saying it from 2012.

Prime example, yesterday and Florida.

Three polls were released yesterday for Florida. They had the race:

Tied
Biden +3
Biden +5

The one showing the race tied was +1 for Trump among RV.

Guess which poll the media focused on yesterday to drive a narrative that Biden was losing Florida?

Do you think we'll see a backtrack today? Already, there's two polls out that have Biden leading +5 and +3.

About what the lead has mean in the last few polls.

I get making sure to discuss trends and yes, Biden's lead is smaller today than a month ago but not by much and way more in line with history than what the polls indicated initially (Biden winning +6 seemed kind of optimistic).

But the media's framing of the race off one poll is ridiculous when there's now four additional polls showing a different outcome and yes, those polls should get at least some mention to provide overall context to this race.
