Wonder if they'd slow you to see your signature in advance Nevilledog Sep 2020 #5

Very good! Lots of people have changes in their signatures due to vision loss, tremors, or just change in signing habits.

Was I lazy that day or was I intentionally trying to make it look presentable?

Even in VA, this could be used against me.

But that isn't much help. I guess all I can do is practice a lot, "forging" my own signature.

Does the person need to come in person to resolve?

I registered in person. Then when I got my driver license, they insisted I sign to say that I wanted to be registered to vote. I told them I had already registered. They said it didn’t matter, I still had to either 1) register again OR 2) state that I did NOT want to be registered. As if the latter was going to CANCEL my registration. There was no “I’m already registered“ option. They said whatever I chose would REPLACE any prior registration information. It was very unclear.

So I received my voter registration card in the mail from both of these attempts. They are identical except a small difference (like -0 and -1j in the registration number.
At the driver license office when doing this process, I had to sign on an electronic pad similar to what they use for credit cards at grocery store. You couldn’t even read it. The pad wasn’t lit, so I couldn’t even see my signature as I signed.

Being suspicious, I have wondered if it was all a GOP-designee scam — either to have two registrations so they can electronically “stuff the ballot box“ (we would hear “turnout was very high!”), OR reject absentees based on failure to match signatures. I have a suspicious mind.

I can not remember their official title but people who study peoples writing have said no one persons signature is the same. It might have the same style but never the same.

My friends daughter worked at a place where they did the work.of checking signatures and if they could not read them they were thrown out. My friend then wondered if hers was continually thrown out. Her signature is very bad as she is blind.

I have always had a hard time signing my name and it never come close to looking the same so has mine been thrown out. I take a long and tedious time to sign my ballots.

I believe that, out of all the thousands of times I have signed my name, this will be the very first time that anybody actually looks at it. I've always voted in person, so all the details to attend to make me nervous. Absentee/vote by mail is effectively new in my state (VA).
