The View from the Tenderloin

The View from the Tenderloin

Let's call this one the Armageddon edition, because that's what it looks like outside. It's after ten in the morning, and it's still dark out here in SF. The sky has been an interesting shade of ocher for two days now, but today was special, no dawn. People, needless to say, are freaking out. The weather guy on TV said he has never seen anything like it. W/T/F next?

The election is fast approaching, and it can't be soon enough. The current edition of our Executive Branch is doing all in their power to wreck the Republic. Why? Do they know they are going down and want to leave scorched earth? It's all too reminiscent of Hitler's last days, and it's creepy. If you can phone bank or contribute any money, especially to Senatorial candidates, now is the time.

Hold those dear to you close

God save the Republic

I swear, it's getting darker. If you were driving now, you'd need headlights. It's like the last minutes before true night and the stars come out.

I posted a picture on Facebook, and almost my entire newsfeed is pictures of friends doing the same.

It is downright eerie. Dark outside, with red tinge. My night time motion detector lights are still coming on it is that dark.

I stepped outside barefoot to snap some picks. Pitch black under a dark orange haze. I felt the ash underfoot & was glad I had a good mask.
My camera doesn't capture the true color of the sky, though. It reads grey haze. Weird.

And creepy. I went out at eight this morning, and took a few fotos then. They turned out very well, I don't know how to post them here, but if you find me on F/B you can see them.. My name is Barry Stevens
