They don't love trump.

They don't even love his policies.

But they do love that you hate him and that he infuriates you. That is all that matters to them. They don't love America, the Constitution, or even God.

They are not motivated by love of any kind. They just hate. And what they hate is you.

That is why no tape from Woodward or outrage from generals or anything else will sway their vote. They hate you, and trump makes you mad. They see this as a win.

There is nothing that will fix them.

Trumpets aren’t the only people voting in This election. It really doesn’t matter what they think one way or another. That should be obvious to everyone by now.

do this trick. You make up an enemy that doesn't exist and get everyone who is not "the enemy" to hate the enemy. And then you move the enemy around. First they are outside the country, and then eventually, when the dictator needs to marginalize the opposition, the enemy is suddenly inside the country.

It's the fascist playbook.

By the way, they actually do love Trump, or how he makes them feel. They love Trump because of how powerful and acknowledged Trump makes them feel. I'd recommend picking up a good book about the Third Reich, or The Cult of Trump by Steven Hassan. Until the Red Army was burning down their homes, Nazi supporters loved Hitler; they thought he was put there by God. In fact, some of them never stopped loving Hitler, even when Germany was rubble.

It's really a shame. You'd think our species would catch onto this old trick.

14. They love Trump, haven't liked Republican policies since the party adopted plutocratic populism.

"So peculiar is America's version of right-wing populism that it deserves a label of its own. In this book, we use the term 'plutocratic populism' to describe the party's bitter brew of reactionary economic priorities and right-wing cultural and racial appeals. This distinctive American hybrid emerged after 1980 as the Republican Party struggled to manage the tension between its growing priorities and its electoral strategies, between its defense of plutocracy in the face of rising inequality and its reliance on less affluent white voters in the face of growing diversity. To deliver for the plutocrats yet still win elections, Republicans reached ever deeper into parts of the nation and segments of the electorate where conservative economic policies failed to stir voters' passions but divisive appeals to identity did. The choices and alliances they made -- and the opportunities to take a less destructive course they rejected -- radicalized a party, divided a nation, and empowered a demagogue. They now imperil our democracy."

Hacker and Pierson, "Let Them Eat Tweets, How the Right Rules in an Age of Extreme Inequality"

In 2016 Trump took the attacks on Hillary (supposedly from the Left) that she was establishment, war hawk, corrupted by Wall Street, evil, more conservative and dangerous than Trump, an elite ignoring the working class, and used them against her too. Pretended to want to bring back jobs for the working class, improve infrastructure, keep social safety nets, improve health care. He ran as an outsider against the establishment. Then handed the keys over to the plutocrats.
