My accidental frumper faux-nooze-fool encounter on zoom

Nothing new here, just that I don't look for these morons or usually waste the energy.

But this 75 yr old white guy was in another social group I've just joined, and I was totally surprised to find him there, a real frumper, flag, and all.

I said, "You're not really a trumper, are you?"

He had no good reason except claimed that frump would get the soldiers out of "all the wars we're fighting."

I said, , "Uh, you mean the ones the gop started under Bush Cheney?"

He downshifted to 9/11 with a bunch of "no construction materials fell on the ground at either site." I said, "Ok, that's just not true, and Bush let Bin Laden's families fly home when all other flights were grounded." "And, anyway, what has that got to do with trump?"

Then some BS about Biden exaggerating his college credentials. I said, "Ok. Even if that were true, who cares? Is that all you can say against Biden? Then he must be a great candidate. "

He started quoting frump and I told him to ignore the brain-damaged criminal: He's had a bunch of strokes. Disregard anything the blithering idiot belches.

Later in the conversation, he announced he'd lost half a mil in his pension in the 2008 collapse. I said, "And you do realize that the GOP stole that from you? They deliberately took down the banking rules put in place after the 1930's so they could speculate and use savings and loans like casinos. He tried to blame that on clinton. Of course I countered with clinton's balanced budge and bush's and frump's record deficits with giveaways to big business from his own pocket. I told him faux snooze is an entertainment station, not a news organization, and that he should turn it off.

He shut up and left the group early. I'll probably never find out if I did any good, or not, but the rest of the group was glad when he signed off. It felt good to hit back, I gotta say.

Obama isn't in office till January 2009. So 2008 had nothing to do with him.

If, and only if, others were monitoring your exchange, then you participated in a debate; and the only realistic goal of a debate is to persuade the audience. You'll never convince your opponent of anything by humiliating him.

their deluded world view. That will make some dig their heels in farther (at the bottom of the hole they are trying to dig their way out of), but some will begin to let the truth seep in.

We really are black and blue if we need to read an inconsequential story about one fox news asshat.

The thing is, it's so weird to talk around these brain farts. I just don't come across them in my life, so, the whole thing was a surprise, as well as my replies to the fool.

But the women might want to know that the other 3 men just sat there and didn't defend Biden or me, or attack frump. They pretty much cowered in the corner. They only started talking again after he left the zoom.
