They will take a pay cut and put up with all kinds of BS to go to the moon. The money saved from their salary and other economies will go straight to the billionaires who see space exploration as just another profit center.

A perfect example of privatization.

2. Reminds me of the old anti-environment bumper sticker:

"Earth First!
we'll mine the other planets later"

It doesn't sound like much and it's supposed to be for the advancement of science but this is how this shit starts. Put a profit motive into what boils down to mining operations on a basically virgin moon, as if they're not happy with the level of environmental damage that resource extraction industries have caused and are responsible for here.

Who's accountable when something doesn't quite work out right? What could go wrong?
