I went to the beach

On Labor Day with my bud Ian. It was so good to get out of my apartment. I was slowly going nuts inside.

We went to Rehoboth Beach in Delaware. Rehoboth is a very LBGT friendly beach.
I feel safe going shirtless there. Because nobody gets away with bashing anyone there. I have big scars on my chest where I got top surgery. When I was a teenager I spent a part of every summer there,a month usually. Spent another month with my grandma in Galax Virginia.

When in Rehoboth I and my mom stayed with my mom's freind in a nice trailer park she rented out every year during the warm months. The park has since been built into hotels condos or something. Was sad that it dissapeared.

Every person we saw were wearing masks (except when swimming in the ocean).Btw it's hard to breathe through a wet salty mask glad I bought spares.

Social distancing was really observed. People put thier beach blankets at least 6 ft. apart. People were so nice. They socially distanced while in the ocean as much as they could. Waves had a way of moving people around tho.
Nobody was a maskhole. I was there all day puttering on the beach and boardwalk. No maskholes.
Even kids wore masks.

If you live near Rehoboth go visit. The people are sane there.

I was impressed.

If people agree to act responsibly it’s so much better. It’s really sad how people acting irresponsibly are ruining it for everyone.

Except at the gas station convenience stations every seems to be just getting with the program.

If a store has a sign asking people to wear masks I believe most people will just do it. Same with the beach.

Cape Henlopen is my favorite place in Delaware--and Biden was instrumental in helping it become a State Park. It was an empty military facility from WWII for many years. The fishing pier in one of your pix is where a Nazi submarine surrendered at the end of WWII. And I helped fix it up after a storm--as part of a volunteer group. The boards running down the middle were my specialty

I remember reading about the Nazi submarine situation when I was there. I think it was on plaques at the pier.

I'm really glad I picked Delaware for my final stop on the 2018 trip. Every year I base somewhere for a week then before returning to Florida I spend 3-4 days at another interesting spot. In 2018 I was in Cape Cod initially and really didn't have a great idea of where I wanted to go from there. I had already done coastal cities like Charleston and Savannah in prior years. Fortunately I found Delaware, especially when I realized I could also see the wild horses in Virginia not far away on the day I departed.

My husband and I were considering going to Rehoboth. We usually go on vacation the weekend after Labor Day, to get the out-of-season rates. We decided to pass, because of reports of Covidiots in Ocean City and other beaches. We may go over Indigenous People's Day Weekend, based on your good report. Thanks!

Glad you enjoyed it! The weather was SPECTACULAR and people in Delaware have been really good about not fucking up our open beaches by being maskholes. Excellent compliance is allowing us to enjoy the beauty of the ocean!

This year marks 60 years since I first started going to Rehoboth as a kid. Your description of the place is one of the many reasons why. It is a multifaceted place — LGBTQ friendly, family friendly, a place where Washingtonians and celebrities vacation, a town of fabulous restaurants, a great fall town (Sea Witch Festival, jazz festival), a boardwalk with fun memories of a lifetime of visiting. The Biden’s have a place there. Friends have run into Joe and Jill Biden riding their bikes on the bike trails in the area. Right up the road, Lewes, DE, is amazing, as well. I usually go in the fall, so I will be making my annual pilgrimage very soon.

from the Foo Fighters generally comes down each year

Louie's Pizza is my favorite. With a follow-up of Thrasher's fries. If I'm lucky enough in non-pandemic times, there will be a nice band playing at the bandstand near the boardwalk--outside of Louie's and Thrasher's. Then, on the way home to Wilmington, I hit the DQ in Lewes. I walk over to the bay and watch the ferry come and go from NJ as I sit on a bench overlooking the water and eat my chocolate-dipped cone. That is living life

The surgery was not perfect I have armpit fat
and side fat left it reminds me of femaleness and it makes me insecure. No way in hell I could ever afford to remove it. But I wish I could.

It's not attractive.

But when I wear a shirt that covers the pit area I feel better.

I have lost weight I look like a deflated balloon.

In my dreams all the leftover skin and fat is gone. And I have a body that fully reflects me.

But nope.

I wear the tank top.

I look okay in a tank top over my trunks.

At least I no longer have those two ton boob tumors on my chest.
