From sign theft and vandalism, to burglaries and bribes, to treason, and everything in between.

This is the Reputincan party of 2020 and (putting aside Putin) for the last several decades since Ike.

Had umpteen Kerry signs taken from my yard. This was a huge topic of discussion in the Ohio forum back then. I called the cops to report a theft every single time, because 1) it was theft, and 2) it occurred on my property, and if the cops got sick of it, too bad. I’ve heard of a lot of things to use to deter theft, my favorites being some kind of pepper juice to motor oil. Anything that will cause hell when they try to pull up the sign from the yard.

This is such petty nonsense.

hey don't blame me, this was on some kind of "Dick Tracy Crimestoppers" spoof comic back in the 60s. Only they put the razor blades on fender skirts on cars...MAD MAGAZINE maybe? I've never forgotten it, also showed the little amputated fingertips falling on the ground.

Also, there are very reasonably priced security cams out there, if you're so inclined.

I want to deface them.

I think of taping a word or 2 below the sign, for example:
suck, are traitors, are con men, are fools, Don't care, are racists, go away, etc.

Several discussions here over the past few months about signs being stolen, with some good suggestions to protect the signs or mess with the thieves.

I hope your new sign remains where you put it!

of lack of enthusiasm. People simply know how violent and fanatical the deplorables are, and want to avoid problems.

But know that the Biden/Harris stuff is selling at a much stronger pace than any of the Clinton/Kaine stuff - there is much more enthusiasm this time for this ticket.

Here are some bird gel sources; you can find them at hardware and mail-order sources. Wear disposable gloves; smear evenly with a putty knife; application of cayenne is your option.

https://bird-x.com/bird-products/gels-liquids/bird-proof-gel/

Here's an Amazon review:

Great for political signs.
I used this on a political sign on my private property. It is great for deterring thieves as it is like Vaseline mixed with tree SAP. It will ruin any clothes and takes forever to get off skin. A good punishment for people who try to mess with my sign on PRIVATE PROPERTY.

I covered my signs in clear plastic to protect them from spray paint. Then screwed them to solid wood frames, pounded in steel posts, screwed the frames to the posts. Then fastened carpet tack stips all around the frames. If anyone tries to pull them out of the ground, they'll get a hand full of 1/2" needle sharp tacks. Then I posted a sign next to the others that says, "smile, you're on camera". I installed a ring security camera in full view and with motion detection.

I really hope someone tries to take my signs.

It's going to make a great you tube video.

The local party in my mostly rural and very red county decided not to rent office space due to the pandemic, because we'd rather not kill off our voter base. Instead we instituted a program where we'll bring signs to anyone in the county who requests via our website or by calling/texting our number. We deliver signs, buttons, bumper stickers, &/or masks to anyone in the county free of charge (donations encouraged but not required).

I do many of the deliveries, and we're tracking a significant rate of signs stolen, like yours. Luckily with the money we're not spending on rent, we can bulk purchase signs and afford to replace them.

Love the ideas about pine tar and the like! I'll mention those as I deliver.
