Uh Oh. Local Garden center made a big mistake erecting a big Trump sign

No pics unfortunately.

Yesterday evening, local nursery, garden and landscape center -- the biggest one in the region -- decided to erect a 10 foot by 25 foot Trump 2020 sign in one of their corner fields across the street from one of the most well used township parks. Today the cheese has hit the fan.

I just drove by their offices and retail plant center and there must be 100 people out front with Biden, anti Trump and the business name with the "not" symbol, picket signs walking back and forth along the street - more or less blocking their entrance. The police aren't stopping them. Out of curiousity I went over by the park and sure enough, another bunch of folks pacing the sidewalk on that corner. Everyone in the area knows that field belongs to the nursery.

Beautiful day ... just the right weather to go buy the fall plants and get them in the ground. I wonder how many will pass and go elsewhere.

Serves them right.

Years ago when Linda McMahon ran for Senator against Chris Murphy, some nutbag in town put up five or six huge (5X12) McMahon signs near a bend in a main east/west state road in town.

They were close to the right-of-way and large, so I called the DOT. Within hours they came and removed them - on state property and blocking drivers' view.

They never went back up further from the road, so I assume the clown didn't bother going to pick them up.

Along a section of US 1, the signs, similar to your description, pop up every couple of miles.
I heard from a DEM activist that the signs have been brought by a wealthy donor - they're all the same: white background with the two names of the criminals in red and blue. It's a large plywood sign anchored by 4x4 posts.
Some have already been defaced. More to follow.

What purpose do those sign serve exactly?

Is there one person in the US, hell, in the world who doesn't know who's running?

But once one goes up, then we're off to the races because any candidate wants to be seen as being supported by the majority of people. Peer pressure to vote a certain way and be "winners" like the rest of us I suppose.

Now local candidates for office legitimately need them for name recognition.

This was in Columbia, SC. It was reported on the news that dozens of people were coming in and ordering special cuts of expensive meats, and then when they got to the counter they would look out the window and point at the sign and say, "Oh, never mind, I changed my mind." The owner refused to talk on camera, but they said they were now requiring people to pay in advance.

The chat room on the local TV station had dozens of people saying, "let's patronize this brave, Christian store," but two days later the sign was gone and............about two months later the store was closed.

BTW, the sign was the Old Testament verse about putting to death 'a man who lays with another man," so I felt that justified the guerilla shopping attacks.
