2. That's because large part of the votes (especially on the democratic side) will be mail-in votes

And because of the USPS trickery, more of us will mail our ballet as soon as possible as opposed to other years. Though, I think we have to prepare for voting day results skewing heavily to Trump because there are polling suggesting that republicans are more likely to vote in-person this year (because they have to show that COVID isn't happening).

I wish more states would start counting mail-in votes before Nov. 3rd for this year because of COVID.

Late October can be less than 1 week from the election. Almost all elections are decided by the week before! Except for Bush/Gore, how many hadn't decided who they were voting for by a week prior to the elections.
