Gavin Newsom is very adeptly telling trump some truths without hurting his little feelings.

(7,715 posts)I would go "bwahahahahahha". But because it is, I won't.
Trump: I love your pose. Either you're totally insecure and know your dangerous idiocy (or perhaps it's just intentional bad acts) are being exposed. Or you are getting ready for the straitjacket that they will put you on January 20, 2021.
Or both.

(47,418 posts)then I read something like that. This is the stuff of my worst nightmares, the sort of thing I hoped I'd never see in my own country, in my lifetime. Sadly, I am quite sure these people are capable of anything if given the opportunity.
Now we're seeing the answers to the questions people often ask about ordinary Germans in the 1930's -It can happen here and apparently it is right before our eyes.

That arms crossed pose is classic defensive. And yes, as someone else posted, I've seen that same thing with my four-year old grandchild. Is there any doubt that he has arrested development?
That's it exactly.

Truly, El Pendejo mas grande!
Telling Pendejo45 that 57% of the forest land in California belong to the federal government, means Pendejo45 will look at ways to grift this information.

mtngirl47
(988 posts)A forest and the animals and insects that live in it need dead wood as well as live trees to thrive.
Try clearing dead debris on just one acre. Here in Western NC we have controlled burns--when it is not dry.
Forest fires happen---it is the drought from global warming that is causing these horrible fires in the Western US.
PatSeg
(47,418 posts)how much land is involved here. Even if "raking the forest floors" was a legitimate remedy (which it isn't), it would be an impossible task. Trump knows nothing about forests, wildfires, or climate change.

(13,496 posts)bad forest fires for many years. I do believe in global warming and that absolutely contributes to it. My brother in-law fought those forest fires (on federal land) for over 20 years in CA. He had to retire 15 years ago. He admits the underbrush has gotten out of control-several years ago. I am not saying get rid of trees or all of the underbrush. You are right they need to do more controlled burns. I live in MO and they do that in our forests. CA has had dry lighting as long as I can remember. I am in my 60s and I first heard of it in my early 20s. That doesnt help the situation. Like I said before, I do believe in global warming and storms and hurricanes are worse because of it.

Contrary to many of those 'Body Language' books, the FBI states it's an insecurity issue.
There are a few FBI interviewer books and videos explaining this out there.

(15,411 posts)someone posted a quote from an Ohio (I think) voter who supported Trump because Trump had made the world great. This voter bought everyone of Trump's lies and all evidence to the contrary was just lies. At one point he said something about Trump popping off on Twitter etc but said "that's how you know he's telling the truth."
It has stuck with me. That's the Trump voter. Someone who believes him no matter what. There is no way we can reach those people. It is frightening.
