I feel there might be a direct correlation between news cycle ebb and flow

and trump approval. I have checked 538 avg approval every day for years. I saw his approval tick down after his latest travesty...that he didn't warn about covid and thinks generals are pussies. Then, it started going up again. Same time the news moved on to something new.

It is exactly what he wants. He knows the news cycle. Bad news will be replaced by new bad news and people and the news will jump on something new.

We will not succeed unless we aggregate and focus repeatedly on the worse crimes of the last four years.

1. Yup. this is what's amazing about Trump's seemingly invincibility to scandals

It might go down for a while but it always go back up. So once again, this election isn't about convincing people that's on Trump's side because there is nothing that will make them leave. It is all about turning out people that either didn't vote or voted 3rd party last time to vote for Biden.

Report came out. They said, that "It couldn't have been that bad because the Dems aren't doing anything and I know they hate him, so must not be anything there."

IOW, we must sustain an incredible amount of public outrage when it is warranted. Not just for a week...but every day ad infinitum.

Yes, you are exactly right...we must reach that middle somehow.

to that level. Absolutely worthy. But, not that 200k people died because of Trump's evil incompetence. Not that he demeans those who risk their lives in military service. Not that he has no regard for the secret service, exposing them to covid on his hate rally forays - while they pledge a solemn oath to take a bullet for him. Or that even to this day, children are alone, separated from their parents at the border.

3. That's because we focus too much on scandals and not enough about the big picture

The focus on scandals accepts the notion that they are otherwise normal decent politicians but have this scandal or outrage here or there

We need to focus on the whole, stress that their whole party is fundamentally corrupt, bonkers, Racist, sexist, anti-American, etc.

In that context, these aren't scandals, they're just further proof and confirmation that they are a horrible party with a horrible leader.

6. I agree, yet it it can't be vague. There is a mountain of specifics

acts that exemplify these horrible traits you mention. Otherwise, people just take it as politics as usual.

The most glaring example is that the GOP has blocked any effort to protect us against Russian election interference. That alone should be advertised with facts - that Dems came up with a plan and GOP blocked.

Trump hurts the environment. Simple fact - he reversed an Obama regulation that stopped coal companies from dumping poisonous sludge into our waters.
