New Woodward audio from April 13 via CNN:
TRUMP: This thing is a killer if it gets you. If you're the wrong person, you don't have a chance.
WOODWARD: Yes, yes, exactly.
TRUMP: So this rips you apart.
WOODWARD: This is a scourge. And--
TRUMP: It is the plague.

(275 posts)the coronavirus is a hoax made by Democrats....even though the Drumpf changed his words during the coronavirus briefings to wear masks in late summer..but he does not follow those words...so his supporters just follow Drumpf, Faux news, RW radio - it's not serious. So let his supporters learn that those sources are fake!

(70,495 posts)@ this point I think Trump knows he is gonna lose and wants to take as many people as possible with him.
Fox News must be a really good drug.
Will Trump get forgiveness on the money he owes to Russia/Deutsche's bank if he get 1,000,000 Americans killed.

(9,239 posts)That rings true to me, and certainly fits his character (or lack of). Difficult days ahead.

(70,495 posts)When it became obvious to even Hitler that the Russians would be in Berlin and that allies in
the west would go south and take Bavaria (his hide out) and there was nothing he could do to
stop them he gave orders to destroy everything and if it killed German citizens too he was fine
with that. The only difference between then and now is that these MAGA people haven't had
their homes and towns destroyed by air raids or over run by foreign armies.
Not unless a miracle happens we will pass the total # of Americans killed in WW II (405,000) by
the end of 2020 and yet millions will turn out and vote for Trump just like the thousands of
"good germans" who killed themselves as the Canadian, French, British, and American troops
rolled into Germany.
I might be wrong but one of the "things" we are dealing with is that in Reagan's killing off of the
Fairness Doctrine we have had 2.5 generations bathed in complete misinformation. As odious as
he is Trump scratches their itches and to them it feels good .... except when the lose their jobs and
or are lying in hospital bed dying.

(3,414 posts)Buy some 2" x 4" shipping labels. Right click on the photo above and choose "save image as". Save the image to your hard drive. Then go to Word and print that image on a sheet of labels. Post those labels as needed. Repeat as necessary. Enjoy!

(10,171 posts)I wonder if some of them travel from one rally to another like dead heads? That would increase the chance of super spreading. Though this looks like a good start.

(85,987 posts)...Trump's repeating something someone else told him, badly. As you say, all of them are at risk of contracting the virus, spreading it, becoming sick, or dying from the exposure.
But he's devised this shell game where Trump's cheerleading any segment of society he can convince to pose in public, provide him images to use as propaganda that look like the pictures we saw before February of normal and traditional American life.
It reminds me of how China, Cuba, or North Korea stage their population to make it appear to outsiders that all is well and good in a national crisis.

(54,358 posts)If any one of them shows up at the ER showing severe symptoms and testing positive, I would deny them all treatment, and refer them to the nearest Trump campaign office. After all, they have just been diagnosed with an ailment they believe does not exist, so what reason could they possibly have for seeking treatment?
bigtree
(85,987 posts)...but we're challenged to do more than Trump will to protect our families, loved ones, and community.
They infect the rest of us. Providing treatment is the same logic we use for anyone who shows up at the hospital with an ailment or injury. Public safety, and the risks of allowing more exposure is reason enough to get them in for treatment, voluntarily or otherwise.

(28,462 posts)Absolute center of the crowd. Some (very few) people in that shot have masks but everyone except that woman is smiling. She's staring straight at the camera with no mask on. She's either one of us witnessing the madness for herself while trying to blend in with the maskless crowd, or she thinks the photo will lead to her being doxxed. Much more likely the latter.

(31,261 posts)should have a sense of the risk that they took. It is starting to look like wearing at least a two-ply mask can reduce COVID19 symptoms to something mild for some people. So let the MAGATS not wear masks, everyone else should wear masks at all times when in public and when around non-household family, and friends.
