(81,220 posts)Theres just something creepy about him. Face looks like its plastic - as much as, if not more than, the figure on the right.
Jared has always looked plastic, at least to me.

(81,220 posts)The more I look at him, the more I see plastic surgery.
Hes at least had an eyebrow lift.
And also, Botox.
And maybe a little filler in the lips?
Having covered Hollywood for most of my career, Ive seen lots of celebs whose faces have almost literally stopped moving. Their smiles become more rigid (to avoid laugh lines). I remember even as a kid, reading a profile of Gina Lollobrigida and noting the passage she barely (or hardly) smiles in an effort to avoid wrinkles.
Later on, wed go cover the annual American Film Institute tributes to some distinguished Hollywood elder, and the arrivals provoked an ongoing under-the-breath count of facelifts, boob jobs, neck jobs, eyelifts, brow lifts, hair transplants, Botox everywhere, and collagen lips, injected fillers in the cheeks, under the lower eyelids, and more.
Your looks are your livelihood with these actors. Its like getting on a merry-go-round that starts rotating faster and faster.
Best to be able to age like nature intended. You really cant fight it or hold it off. It will beat you.

Thanks for your very interesting, professional inside view.

(81,220 posts)She was a civilian. The trades referred to her as a nonpro - not an actor, not a public persona but married to one (Walter Matthau). By the time I was covering these things she and her husband were older. And shed had so much work done over the years to try to stay young-looking that, by then, she had virtually no face. No features. Flat except for the nose. Shed turned herself into a gargoyle. It was as though somebodys ironed it or something.
The really sad part was that, if you looked back thru the research, youd see that she had originally been quite lovely. She was a very attractive woman when she was younger. Doomed in later days to live behind that horror mask of a face in a lifelong attempt to look good on her husbands arm. And all she wanted was to look good for him and this public image.
Remember when Ivana Trump made the cover of Vogue magazine after the donald had cast her aside for the younger fresher-faced blonde (Marla Maples) in a VERY public divorce? She disappeared, had some work done, and emerged in public again with a spectacular (and fresher-faced) makeover and hairstyle. And she looked fabulous! For a few years. Two or three. But time always has the last word.
As the years passed, those carefully doctored revisions started to lose their grip. As is ALWAYS the case. The years, and gravity, have NO mercy. And the really sad part is what starts to happen as they take effect around, across, through, and DESPITE the surgeons skills. And Ivana could afford the best. So can most of Hollywood. But after awhile you need more that a little tweak here and a little tweak there to maintain your looks.
Mostly women but men, too. And if you look carefully, you can see it. Watch Tom no longer the hot male ingenue Cruise now, for example.
Its sad what these folks feel compelled to do to keep their careers and their images going. And once you get started, youre on that treadmill til the end.

(21,596 posts)Kenny Rogers used to live in my town, when he was married to Marianne Rogers, a former Hee Haw Honey, who was from this area. Kenny Rogers was a good looking man, who, like Burt Reynolds, got plastic surgery and ruined his looks.
I shall have to be content with my own original face, and thats a good thing.
Edit: Marla Maples, originally from Dalton, GA, still looks like shes not had much work done, although she may have had some work.
Sympthsical
(9,072 posts)He was a thinner guy to begin with, so a shift of ten pounds would be very noticeable in his face. The dimples disappear, the eyes become sunken and hollow, his pallor changes, etc.
He looks unhealthy, to be honest. Stress of the job? Lifestyle choice? No idea. He wasn't bad looking at all some years back. He even had a decent bit of muscle mass. But over time, he looks like he's wasting. His visage has become positively waxen. I always wondered what was up with him. We know she had a lot done. Maybe she got him into it? Useless to speculate. But he was fairly normal looking at the beginning of that marriage.
