But really, with the transparency of his messages, his dominant cudgel used on Trump, why would you need to pay him anything? You already have sound political advice with no room for blowback, free, in the public airwaves, bar none. I'd suspect old time mainstream Republicans and Democrats forge a better dialogue post-Trump because of this battle and people like Steve Schmidt. These are patriots who know crisis when they see it.

Trump is the laziest president in history. He works about 3 hours a day, if earlier estimates of his normal work day are accurate. I see no reason to believe they're mistaken.

21. I'm not so sure about that. Some of those Lincoln Project ads attacking Senators acknowledge

the value of social safety net programs, even the ACA. They're not "tear everything down" teabaggers. They're not liberals by any means, but they're not Libertarians or religious nutjobs. There's plenty we'll disagree on down the road, but they believe in science. They believe in climate change. We need at least a two-party system for the long term health of the country, but right now we only have one viable party and they know that. Hopefully, they'll be the nucleus of a rational party going forward. Only time will tell. If not, then we'll just have to keep electing Democrats and I think they'll help until the kooks, charlatans, the science-deniers are rooted out. It's gonna take a lot of time, sadly.
