(10,621 posts)6. People are, IMHO, vastly overestimating the benefits of having a vaccine.
A vaccine is likely to be only 70-80% effective (maybe even less), and it will be a long time before enough people are vaccinated to start seeing significnant immunity in the general population. There is even the risk that, if enough people refuse to take the vaccine, we will never reach herd immunity.
Meanwhile, if enough people let their guards down, we could potentially see another spike in infections and deaths, even after the vaccine has been made widely available.

First Time. It is September, if they are applying for the first time, how long have they been without a job? I think there are a lot of people who have applied, and are still waiting for benefits.
