We'd better celebrate this one--if Shitgibbon steals the election, it'll be the last one we have anything to celebrate!
Celebrate it by VOTING!

(18,402 posts)I support all valid celebrations, but we are recovering from shell shock today. For the last 4 nights, beginning around 10:30 pm, weve heard loud honking and bursts of bangs (was it firecrackers, gun shots, flash bangs). We could see some parked police cars with lights on, but wondered what was happening. No news.
The, last night, from 10:30 pm to 2 am, it escalated: unbearably loud honking of horns, shouting, cars revving and doing burnouts, huge explosions of firecrackers. I sent my spouse out to the roof at around midnight to see what was going on. He said lots of cars racing with Mexican flags.
Of course ... it was finally Mexican Independence Day! (But why 4 days?). Since parades and festivals are banned in our state for the pandemic, this was the alternative. But really? Till 2 oclock in the morning? With the police just sitting there to block off streets to allow it?
I am so fried this morning. So please, a gentle celebration.
