AZ-06: Schweikert on Arizonans' Issues: "I'm Not Going to Be an Expert"

In an admission that will come as a surprise to literally no one, this week David Schweikert finally acknowledged he has no idea what matters most to the people he’s supposed to represent.

On a podcast this week, the ethically-challenged Schweikert was asked the basic question: “what are the main issues, do you believe, for voters in Arizona?”

Schweikert’s response? “Um, for Arizona, uh, I’m not going to be an expert.”

This blunt yet shocking answer comes after Schweikert has represented the people of Arizona in Congress for 9 years. (Of course, we all know what Schweikert was really up to during that time…)

DCCC Spokesperson Sarah Guggenheimer released the following statement:

“Maybe if David Schweikert hadn’t spent his entire time in Congress indulging in corrupt and unethical behavior that led to the House of Representatives unanimously reprimanding him for 11 ethics violations and charging him with a $50,000 fine, Schweikert might actually have a clue about the needs of everyday Arizonans.”
