Donald Trump mocked for 95-minute 'slurring' campaign speech -- before crowd 'packed in like sardines

https://www.alternet.org/2020/09/donald-trump-mocked-for-95-minute-slurring-campaign-speech-before-crowd-packed-in-like-sardines-in-wisconsin/

President Donald Trump gave a fear-filled and factually inaccurate campaign rally in Mosinee, Wisconsin on Thursday.

The rally, held in spite of the COVID-19 pandemic, featured a large crowd closely packed together.

Here’s some of what people were saying about Trump’s speech, which lasted approximately 95 minutes:

Wisconsin's dumbest packed in close, unmasked, breathing all that freedom in real deep. So there may be fewer of them around November. Today is Minnesota. Ohio on Monday. Pence is in Arizona today.

Whatever he puts up his nose doesn't want to stay there. I'd imagine the more tired he gets, the larger the dose of nose candy.

We’re one of the worst States in the country right now, thanks to the “I’ll do whatever the fuck I want to” crowd exercising their “free dumb” over Labor Day weekend.

Where I live, our bars and restaurants are packed with people not wearing masks! Not the young people either. It’s people aged about 40-70 that are the worst!! ( We go and do surveillance).

Funny Story: We found a really good Asian restaurant where you order and pay online and pick-up there. Our daughter said they won’t let you in any further than the vestibule of the restaurant, and someone comes to the inner door, garbed in PPE, and practically lobs your food into the vestibule and slams the door.

That’s the place we trust!

numbers are going to continue climbing through the roof! Here in Boulder CO we have a problem with the college students mainly. There's been lots of partying going on off campus on "The Hill". It's gotten so bad I walk everywhere & very rarely take the bus anywhere. When I'm out walking, pretty much everyone is maskless. You would think just the fires & the damage to our lungs alone would have them faithfully wearing masks. But NO! What's disturbing also is that these are intelligent college students. Unless of course they cheated like Trump...

No fines or teeth in it. Our Governor, Tony Evers ( a democrat, thank goodness) had to fight the Republicans in our State Legislature in Court to keep the mask rule as it is. We have a bunch of tea baggers hanging over from the Scott Walker/Koch bros takeover in 2010. We have severe gerrymandering, so we can’t even vote them out, YET.

As you and I know, this mask situation means not only more sick people and unnecessary deaths, but this behavior prolongs all of our misery for weeks if not months. I get so angry.

Stay safe!

Thankfully here in DC people are good about masks and there are strict policies for bars and restaurants, most use outdoor seating or space out the tables.

And he has to appear before them and grovel for their votes.

All his life he wanted to be accepted by the upper crust of New York and they snubbed him. I'm convinced that part of his decision to run for office was to get back at the NY elite who despised him and never accepted him. That and to one-up President Obama.

why New Yorkers - of any socioeconomic status - would not accept a loud-mouthed, narcissistic, criminal conman as someone they admired and adored. What the hell is wrong with us?

Of course when he looks in a mirror he sees the most suave, handsome, intelligent, real estate magnate that is universally adored everywhere else. It's tough when reality butts heads with an image of yourself that's completely fanciful and imaginary.

New Yorkers have a way of cutting through bullshit like a laser, and Rump is nothing but a steaming pile of bullshit, from the lifts in his $2000 shoes, to that ridiculous coil of synthetic hair-substitute atop his head. We've had him sussed out since the day he was hatched.

No offense against New York. It is awesome.

But every New Yorker needs to demand an investigation into exactly WHY such a corrupt rich guy was allowed to skirt the law for thirty years, and WHO was responsible.

Allowing that rot to fester has been devestating. We all deserve better from our government.

Noel Casler, one of The Apprentice producers, said he suspects tRump is being sedated - for what I couldn't imagine. This is in addition to his other known drug habits (i.e., Adderal and previously cocaine). I do know personally (from my mother's medical treatment several years ago), she was taking a prescription used to treat psychoses. (She wasn't a psychotic, but this drug is used to mitigate some of the issues involved in dementia). One of the effects of this drug is similar to a person having several alcoholic beverages, most obvious in this case is slurred speech and lethargy.
