(10,889 posts)as one might think from the link's URL -- their default is to split one's donation evenly among 13 of the Senate races that it deems donations will do the most good. But one can "customize" and give however much one wants to as few or as many of the candidates on a candidate-by-candidate basis, all on one form, just click on "Customize Amounts"

(19,558 posts)I've seen such waste tossing good money after bad candidates who aren't competitive.
We cannot wish the stupidity of some of their constituents away. That's just not how any of this works. Focus on the competitive races, please!

(8,277 posts)So the money can go a lot further. I recommend donating to viable races like MT, NC, SC and maybe even Kentucky if McGrath can prove viable as well.

(19,558 posts)McGrath, isn't viable and millions tonight have been dumped there which could have helped other viable seats. Thus, my words through clenched teeth tonight above. If you're clueless, it might be a better option.
jorgevlorgan
(8,277 posts)I mean, if it's gonna happen, McConnell is doing everything possible to make it. Ya never know how some of these races move, especially when butloads of money have been dropped into a race and a historically consequential decision has been made by that one person.
But yeah, we should be spreading our money out not put all our eggs in one basket

(10,889 posts)10 senators are at risk of losing reelection. It may be enough to give Democrats a majority in Congress, Business Insider, 9/18/20
I also made use of FiveThirtyEight.com

There is a map where you can hover over a state and see the Senate race(s)
Scroll down a ways, and there is a table below the map, default is sorted by 538's probability of winning. As of Sept 18, in order of the tightest races (these are probabilities that the indicated party will win (all of the Senate races are listed, I'm just showing the top 4 here) :
#1 Maine (D) 53%
#2 Iowa (R) 59% (Joni Ernst, uggh)
#3 N.Car (D) 62%
#4 Colo (D) 68% .
