I'm going to make a bunch of $25 donations now.
I just scratched my head for a few minutes trying to think of them all. Democrats all, of course, and most of them Democrats running for the Senate. We have no Senate race here in Missouri this year, so I've been making donations to other states' Democratic Senate candidates. Here's the list I have so far:
Biden/Harris
Lindsey Simmons, Democratic candidate for U.S. House in Missouri's 4th Congressional District, trying to unseat that loathsome right wing gun nut Republicon incumbent, Vicky Hartzler
Nicole Galloway, Democratic candidate for Missouri governor, trying to unseat Republicon incumbent Mike Parson
The rest of these are all Democrats running for the Senate:
Amy McGrath, Kentucky
MJ Hegar, Texas
Sara Gideon, Maine
Theresa Greenfield, Iowa
Cal Cunningham, North Carolina
Mark Kelly, Arizona
Jaime Harrison, South Carolina
Doug Jones, Alabama
I've already donated to all of their campaigns except for Greenfield, Cunningham and Jones. Nobody seems to think Jones and McGrath have much of a chance, but McGrath's opponent is just SO vile, and Alabama is my home state, even though I haven't lived there in a long time, and also, I just plain like Doug Jones.
Can y'all jog my memory about which Democratic Senate candidates I've forgotten? Oh, I just remembered, there are those two Georgia Senate races and the one in Montana. Also, somebody who posted here earlier today said Espy in Mississippi might have a chance, depending on turnout.
That's a lot of $25 donations, adding up to a lot of money for a middle-class retiree living on two pensions, but I want to do it.
