Rules and principles are for suckers, winning is everything

Integrity is for paupers

Do whatever it takes to win

These are examples of how Republicans think, and to them Democrats are chumps. We have been too nice and civil for too long.

1. Or, as I've said before...

...we keep demanding that the contest be held under Marquis of Queensbury rules, when the other side has brought guns and switchblades.

2. I've been saying this for years

We aren't at war to play nice. I'm tired of playing nice. Playing nice makes you just a nice opposition party.
I'm not saying break the rules but stop with the strongly worded letters to these rule-breakers. When we are voted in, do the work the people voted for and ignore the Rethugs and MSM cry about overreaching. Fck them.
Where the heck is McConnell's opponent on this blatant hypocrisy? Where the heck is Lindsey's? Susan Collin's? Yes, I have seen the tweets. We are in a General Election and people have already cast their ballots. If we cannot frame the narrative. If you cannot seize this opportunity to mourn and also use the outrage to GOTV, then we have a problem.

4. If the senate repubs try that dirty trick

I believe there will be deadly shots to the bow fired by Jaime and Amy and others. They won’t be doing their dirty work in a vacuum as they prefer, but weeks before an election. The country will be loudly notified!

5. Impotent rage, that's how Democrats and liberals have been

Impotent rage doesnt win, use of tactics, tricks, and other strategic plays along with organization and passion and use of every power available to you is far more effective at winning.

6. We need to mobilize for fighting, not for unilateral disarmament and preemptive surrender

And when you are in a fight for your life, fuck the high road.

Are we going to just let Republicans and their puppet judges shit on Democrats and the American people forever?

Or setting fire to homes of Trump supporters.

People in extreme situations take extreme actions. Talking tough on the internet while using a fake name doesn't qualify as such. Not even remotely.

In such a situation, it's human nature to take extreme actions in order to preserve one's life. That's science.

The aide said that guys like me were 'in what we call the reality-based community,' which he defined as people who 'believe that solutions emerge from your judicious study of discernible reality.' [...] 'That's not the way the world really works anymore,' he continued. 'We're an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you're studying that reality—judiciously, as you will—we'll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that's how things will sort out. We're history's actors...and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do'.

-Ron Suskind, quoting a senior George W. Bush aide believed to be Karl Rove. "Faith, Certainty and the Presidency of George W. Bush". The New York Times Magazine, October 17, 2004.

9. +1. Republicans are not afraid to wield power to achieve their objectives.

Single-mindedly and ruthlessly. Part of their secret sauce is framing and messaging - Rove and Luntz are master chefs

They know politics is a dirty business. It's not about light and goodness and truth, but about getting things done for their base.

17. Did Right Wingers break laws when they organized to make think tanks and a vast infrastructure

That included Fox News in order to defeat the left?

Play fair? Did that work for lgbt people when the mattachine society represented lgbt people? Nope.

You can organize and fight a war without firing a shot. It’s the ability to summon energy inside and use every tool available at your disposal to succeed.
