Enough already. In any case Roberts and Gorsuch have broken with Mr. Trump in several high-profile matters. I don't think he can count on them to support some bizarre election theft. And all it takes is Roberts to vote with the liberals and deadlock the Court at 4-4.

I seen it pop up like so many times over the course of like 10 hours already. There's no way in hell they would just do straight up elections theft because that would be the worst outcome... if you thought the protesting was bad in June oh my god imagine how it would be if they pulled that bullshit

And then when we win, more of the same. Heads down, nice and quiet-like.

Until Feb 1.

And then launch EVERYTHING legislative that we want.
Truth Comissions
Filibuster repeal.
Green New Deal
Public Option
Tax Hikes
Investigations
Court packing
Statehood
Election day as National Holiday (if you work, its MANDATORY doubletime), polls open for full 24 hours, and a federal fine for not voting.

EVERYTHING that we know PROVES government can be a force for GOOD in people's lives, and in so doing, destroy the republican party of trump forever.

Let them screech like cut fucking harpies... I dont care. I'm done fucking around with these wannabe, halfassed, worthless fascist traitors.

Fuck em.

nothing he can do about it. This nonsense about the Supreme Court having to decide the election is annoying. That came down to ONE state. Democrats and those flakey young people are energized now as well as women. There were lines around the block in VA for early voting yesterday. These aren’t Trump voters

This defeatist spirit needs to take long vacation. There's no place for this here. The statement "nothing matters anymore" only serves to demoralize Democrats and stifle GOTV efforts. Not now, not ever should we react like this. Everything matters, our way of life matters and because of that we will fight. Never give up.
Notorious RBG was a fighter, let's carry on the fight.

Hard to convince me that there are significant numbers of voters (on either side) who were previously either undecided or not going to vote at all, now being engaged because of her passing.

I doubt that most of those in either of those two categories could name even one SC justice.

it will give anyone an advantage. This issue is as important to the right as it is to the left. I think Trump will make abortion a central issue in his campaign, with Biden's Catholic faith being discussed extensively, so I think the degree of enmity between the left and right will be even greater. This couldn't have happened at a worse time.

not have this, Moscow Mitch would have not allowed Obama to replace her and they knew it, that is why she didnt resign or retire.

13. RBG's passing
Sat Sep 19, 2020, 08:10 AM
Sep 2020

places focus on the chicanery in Trump's DOJ, Mitch's Senate, and the role of the Supreme Court in shaping the regulations and civil rights landscape in which we live.

We were always going to take the House. We were highly likely to win the White House, exempting Trump cheats, and now we are more likely to take the Senate. Simply, if you value the Bill of Rights, you eject Trump. Only a small percentage of voters fail to understand that. Some may disagree with it, some may prefer harsh enforcement of the laws, but it's not that they don't understand.

RBG's wisdom is traveling with us. Carry your share.

have become horrified at Trump and what he's done.

Trump is so divisive, you know, and he's all about sowing panic, and we can see it on some of the posts above. Yeah, RBG's passing was at an inopportune time, sure. But, nothing has changed about what we need to do in these weeks leading up to November 3.

So, let's focus on winning the election, and let's all work really hard over the next weeks - vote, convince our families and friends to vote, and work to get out the vote. Those who can should donate to Democrats, from Biden/Harris down ticket.

In the meantime, I have lit a candle for RBG - last night, and I will tonight and Sunday. She was a great American, and we will miss her. Let us not panic now, but let us remember all the good she did, and each do what we can to pick up that torch. May she have eternal rest and be surrounded by perpetual light. She did so much for the people, inspired so many, helped so many. Let us remember her without regrets or panic - but just with the reverence and respect such a life well lived truly deserves. Let us not allow the fears of the moment to wipe away the memory of her many years of service to this republic.
