side as if the GOP were just the same way. They each got burned severely.

Of course, I'm talking about Presidents Carter and Obama. Highly intelligent with supreme morals, but couldn't read their sinister opponents.

There could be some truth that it takes one to know one. Sociopaths can be very hard to read and understand by non-sociopaths. The idea of people devoid of empathy and driven by greed and a kind of self-imposed moral superiority based on lies is very hard to wrap one's mind around. I find it very difficult also.

Whenever a friend or family member is surprised, shocked, amazed, flummoxed, appalled, angry, and/or bamboozled by something a Republican has said or done, I do not bother offering any explanations, rationale, or logic.

I merely say, "Understand this: They. Do. Not. Care."

But, there is rhetorical and political power in holding them to the light. Esp in an election year when many are in contested races.
