The ONLY reason McConnell didn't kill the filibuster is because it does them no good.

They killed, or effectively killed, the filibuster for anything that the Senate could do alone.

Its otherwise useless for them on legislation because they dont have the House.
If they had the house you can bet your last penny they would have killed it.

presidency ? Someone mentioned here previously that the filibuster has suited the Republicans in the past, more than the Dems, and that's why they are reluctant to get rid of it.
