Democrats cannot keep the filibuster rule or they cannot win.

That is the only option they have to change the direction of this country.

Someone has to govern this country. They cannot rely on weasels like Mitch McConnell to protect our Constitution or the democracy. They have sold their souls.

That is why the filibuster rule must go as soon as possible. Democrats must put our country back on the right track or it may be gone forever?

We might want to define the term 'win' before we get too far along with procedural changes. We don't need a Dem variant of the Tea Party's obstruction tantrums. But then I really believe most Democrats are above that sort of thing. After the new administration begins we need to pick our fights and not let our opponents do so. A little Art of War is called for at this point. Simply sweeping the Executive branch of monkey-wrenchers and beginning to right the ship of state will take time.

I agree that the premise that if Dems cannot capture the Senate as well as the White House and procedural changes are not made, McConnell and his stranglehold on the people will only get worse.
