Jake Garner, the bar owner who shot and killed a man outside his bar that he and dad owned in Omaha’s Old Market District on May 31, 2020 during a scuffle outside their business during a night of protest. He was not going to be charged with anytime until last week when a special grand jury brought forth charges of manslaughter and other charges. He was found him dead in Portland Oregon. Authorities siting it was death by suicide.


Should clarify something. It was a young African American Man, and his name was James Scurlock of Omaha.

I spent a couple of decades in Omaha, so I've kept up with the case a bit. I knew some of the allegations, but that article is incredible.

Don Kleine has always been a hack, so his involvement (and ignorance) here doesn't surprise me. He should be forced to resign.

Obama won the district it's in one of his two campaigns.

But it has a very racist past and a definite streak of people like this loser. I'm just amazed that he got away with it for so long.

Kleine looks like an incompetent fool after this. It'll be interesting if anything comes of it. Now that the guy killed himself, probably not. Plus, he's a fixture of the community so they'll probably buy his lame excuses for letting the guy off. It looks like pure racism.
