How appropriate, since I feel like we're living through a nightmare.
But, I digress. Happy Birthday, Stephen!!

(36,416 posts)exactly one year before the incident. We were visiting a friend at Kezar Lake, and she lived next door. One day, we followed our friend into town in the late afternoon on the hottest day of the year, and we saw a strange disheveled man dressed in long pants, long sleeved flannel shirt, and a book (or journal) under his arm, walking along the shoulder of the road. When we got into town, our friend said, chuckling, "Did you see that chainsaw massacre guy? That was Stephan King".
My memory of seeing him is still vivid in my mind, and I treasure it.
