What is it that rural folks don't like about metro folks as customers? Why do they elect people that put us metro folks down? Why do they elect people who encourage butt crack white militias?
We metro folks give rural folks business. I just saw a Prairie Farms truck. The logo said "farmer owned." Is that supposed to be a selling point? People who back Trump?
Someone should tell the rural folks to check their attitude. They should stop letting their loud mouths do the talking. Metro folks and rural folks should be united. Both have reasons to appreciate one another.
Trump pitting us all against each other is bullshit.

There was a period when cities vanished from Western Europe. This period was called "The Dark Ages"

Isn't there a saying that one doesn't bite the hand that feeds them?
Take care!
And by the way, trump is BS. You're right!

(14,543 posts)If you spend any time with country people they spend 49% of their time talking shit on their family, their neighbors, people around town, they are just all up in everyone else's business because they don't have anything better to do, and another 49% of their time talking shit on libs cause they are super insecure and project that shit big time - by and large urban folks are more self interested and don't pay much attention to rural folks.

(4,496 posts)That was pre-Trump. When I point out that most televangelists and elected GOP live in cities, I am told that's because they were called there, to do the lord's work. If I attend a Baptist church in a town of 400, Jesus smiles. But if its a town of 1000 people he will smite me. I also like to point out the next time they need a cardiac bypass, they can book their local veterinarian and do it in the barn.

(34,060 posts)in Kansas, a red state for sure and I have never and I really mean NEVER heard this from anyone. I have to be around some people who vote totally opposite of me all the time, have heard the saving the babies crap so often I could speak it in my sleep etc but I have never ever heard anything like this.
Of course it likely happens and Kansas, as red as it is most of the time is very non confrontational which does make it easier to live here but still, life long I have never ever heard this spoken.
Is someone trying to make this a big deal to split things up even more than it is now? If so I hope we don't fall into this like we are wont to do. We have bigger things to work on now and worry about that what "rubes" are saying to the non rural people. Ya want them to come around and vote with you? Call 'em rubes and they never will.
