I wish the intelligence agencies of formerly allied interests

Would release the stuff that all of these politicians are being blackmailed with.

Intelligence agencies loyalties are to themselves, their governments, and their countries. In that order. Any information they have they can withhold to curry favor. Releasing it risks retaliation. It's all about what's in their best interests, not ours.
