I tip my hat to you. I, too, have cut way back on my exposure to the news. It shakes my spirit and I find myself fighting tears at the worst of it. How could 200,000 plus Americans be laid to rest in just months without our country's leaders failing to make some commemorative effort for them and their loved ones? They were treated as if their lives were worthless. It sends a clear message to those among the living. Everyone please vote. Our lives really depend upon it.

wondering what heinous, horrific assault on democracy, the planet, and just basic human decency that thing will inflict on all of us today. It's been like that since November 9, 2016 and I'm tired.

OR see any tweets. Or any rallies.

Or any ANYTHING.

Unfortunately, there will be soundbites forever. Books forever. His name will live on. In infamy, mostly, but it will live on. Unfortunately. So he'll have scored that particular win. We'll NEVER be completely rid of him. We just have to do everything we can to taint his name, and his "legacy." As he's tried to do with President Obama's.

I kinda like the "taste of their own medicine. See how they like it" strategy for "working with" republi-CONS.

I look forward to the day when we hear his name only in association with long prison sentences and major fines for him and his corrupt family. I'm tired of waking up and the first thing I do is grab my phone thinking "what has that MFer done overnight to screw with our country and our lives."

The media will fawn and listen to every syllable.

Gonnna take a million jackhammers to rid us of his name. It's his voice I can't stand. His expressions come in a close 2nd. And his behavior seems so transparent that I actually get pissed at every "Conservative" I know for liking him and don't want to hear from them again.

But I do not want his name or memory to go away. He can serve as a stark reminder of just what can happen to a democracy in a very short period of time and how we must remain ever-vigilant to ensure it never happens again.

Hitler's name is a faint memory and his impact on Europe and the world has seemed to diminish with the fog of time and the efforts of remaining followers. Now we again are facing an onslaught of white supremacy, children in cages and an increasingly militarized police force (to name a few).

We cannot afford to forget.

I really think my overall blood pressure numbers are going to drop. There is only so long that the body can deal with constant stress and upset before the cortisol creates BAD physical issues. I just want peace and normalcy; decency and empathy.

It's been a very very long four years.

Trump will still be a big story. He still will cause viewers to watch a news network, or rather news networks will keep up with him because they know it still attracts viewers, even hate-wathcers. He will still tweet daily. And I suspect he will be used as the honorary CEO of a new Trump Network, funded by Putin and the Koch brothers and other oligarchs to promote division and chaos and disinformation.

IF Biden and the Democrats do NOT prosecute him. Which I suspect will happen so the country can "heal". A way to prevent some MAGA uprising who will believe their cult leader that the election was a coup, and now they are trying to imprison him with false charges to punish him. I hope I'm wrong about that.

So, my hope is this:
That I will know, that whatever he tweets, he will be irrelevant. He will not be sitting in the White House. He wil not be able to use personal power to screw the country. Many of the Never Trumpers will be joined by other more shy Republicans now serving, who will run from him, and ostracize him further. His whacky outrageous statements won't have to be listened to with sober nodding as if they were important to consider.

My hope is that he will continue to deteriorate mentally, and so tweet out ever more bizarre CTs, and be a leading figure of QAnon. And in so doing will be more and more marginalized and laughed at. Until he is a joke. (To more people) A nagging ongoing embarrassment to the Republican party.

Especially if it includes the location of the final disposition of his remains

As stated previously here, I look forward to deploying a very specialized food truck to that location. This truck would specialize in:
-Watermelon;
-Iced tea;
-Beer; and especially
-Asparagus.

With a complimentary map to the specific grave site and unprotected gravestone. Although, the long waiting line should be a dead giveaway.
