Sad that Gen. Kellogg is telling a bald faced lie to protect the President. I resigned on my own accord & was asked to stay. He never escorted me out. He knows this. I wrote a note thanking all the colleagues who had worked so hard with me in spite of POTUS & I stand by that. 🇺🇸

Gen. Keith Kellogg in the WH briefing room said of former Task Force aide, Olivia Troye, "I fired her...I am the one that escorted her off of the compound"

(9,350 posts)If what General Kellogg is saying is true it should be easy to prove. I assume you have to fill out paperwork whenever someone resigns, or is fired. I assume video surveillance would not be kept this long, but the paperwork concerning her exit should still be available. So, General Kellogg, or someone connected to the White House should be able to provide date stamped paperwork that showed this woman was fired from her job and why she was fired.

It is troublesome that a "General" would lie to defend don the crook. What are other military officers thinking? On what side is their patriotism?

(9,350 posts)I assume this woman has a copy of her letter of resignation. Also, it might be a little hard to fake exit paperwork.

(2,657 posts)because they said that she said nice things in the resignation letter. If you are trying to make people think you fired someone, I would recommend not producing the resignation letter.

(14,274 posts)There is no honor in lying. I recognize this was not an illegal act; but it was a moral choice. If this is the route our military leadership has chosen to go, my hopes for the future have diminished.
